The 1885 Society

Hood Theological Seminary National Alumni Association
"The 1885 Society"

The 1885 Society is a special giving club established by the HTS National Alumni/ae Association (HTSNAA) with a goal of raising funds for student aid.

How to become a member: Each alumnus or alumna who gives $188.50 becomes a Member of the 1885 Society. Those who give $1,885.00 will be honored as "Founding Members." A special recognition item will be developed for "Founding Members." These amounts are payable in installments or all at once. $188.50 would be paid each year to be an active Society Member. Ten consecutive payments constitute being a "Founding Member."

The 1885 Society Banquet, a formal dinner featuring a notable keynote speaker, is held each year to celebrate those who have become Members and Founding Members. The banquet is a ticketed event that serves as the primary fundraiser for the Alumni Association.
