A Message from the Director

Greetings!

Welcome to the Congregational Faith and Learning Center at Hood Theological Seminary!

The important and significant work of the ministry of the church is so critical in the times we are living in. Nonetheless, the church is still mandated to thrive as it makes disciples for Christ. Pastoral and lay leaders seek to live their call and empower each other to live up to the guidance of Ephesians 4:14 “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” As such, the goal of The Congregational Faith and Learning Center (TCFLC) is to provide training and faith engagement directly to congregations in the community by being a place to educate, empower, and equip congregations as they seek to be an agent of fruitful, thriving ministry that gives careful consideration to how to adapt and minister effectively and biblically in the changing times we live in. Bottom line - our mission is to help every church take a long term strategic view of being a thriving source of wholeness, service, and spiritual growth that is beneficial to its members and the broader community.

As we prepare to kick off this ministry in the summer of 2021, we invite you to give us a call, discuss the needs of your church and share ideas on how we can partner with you to help you achieve the vision of the ministry Christ has put on your heart. Check back with us regularly as we develop our website and social media platform, and share best practices to help the ministry at your church continue to thrive. Feel free to email me (vhowell@hoodseminary.edu) or our Program Coordinator, Rona Williams (rwillams@hoodseminary.edu) and we will add you to our mailing list for upcoming programs and events. In addition, call me anytime at 704-636-7611, X319 with questions, to set up a meeting, or to share with us how we can partner in creative ways to help your church thrive for the glory of God!

Thank you for reaching out to us; we look forward to partnering in ministry with you! Please keep us in prayer, as we pray for you as you minister in the name of Jesus! Check out our website (faithlearnthrive.org) and future social media platform as we share new information and best practices to help the ministry at your church continue to thrive.

In service to Christ!
