Overview: Online and Distance Education with Hood Theological Seminary
- Hood Theological Seminary is approved for comprehensive distance education by the Association of Theological Schools
- All HTS Faculty are professional trained on online teaching and course design
- HTS faculty teach online both synchronously (real-time video
conference) and asynchronously (online learning activities that students
complete on their own time.
- The hybrid course plan meets the on-campus, in-person teaching and
learning requirements for candidates seeking ordination in the United
Methodist Church.
- HTS also offers intensive, week-long in-person, hybrid, and online courses in January and June.
