Funeral Arrangements for Bishop George Edward Battle, Jr., are as follows:
Sunday, March 16, 2025 - Visitation at Gethsemane AME Zion Church, Charlotte
NC Funeral Service- Monday, March 17, 2025 - 11 AM Livingstone College, Salisbury, NC.
Interment - Tuesday - March 18, 2025- 10 AM Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC.
Bishop George Edward Battle, Jr., 84th Bishop in the line of succession, in the A.M.E. Zion Church, and retired Senior Bishop transitioned on March 9th, 2025. He was a graduate of HTS, Emeritus Board of Trustee, Former Chair of the Finance Committee and created the first endowed Chair of Old Testament Studies at HTS.
