Since 2008, Dr. Rhedrick has been the senior pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church. Since his tenure, record growth has been experienced spiritually, physically and financially. Among over 4,300 Baptist churches in North Carolina, First Missionary is in the top 50 for annual baptisms. He also publishes a weekly religious column for The County News.
Dr. Rhedrick's mentoring extends to Toekomsrus Baptist Church in South Africa. His focuses are pastoral guidance, church stabilization and ministry development. He is the founder and chairman of Walking in the Harvest, a 501©3, which offers free food and clothing, nursing and youth summer programs. He also serves on the Cabarrus Hunger Task Force, the United Missionary Baptist Association, Logan Ministers’ Association (former President) and the Cabarrus Baptist Association. He served on the Board of Directors for Prosperity Unlimited, Inc., and MedAssist.
Before coming to Hood, Dr. Rhedrick served, for two years, as a teacher assistant to Dr. Tim Laniak, Dean of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and author of While Shepherds Watch Their Flock.
Dr. Redrick is married to the former Gail DeBerry. She works closely with him in ministry. They have three children and two grandchildren. Dr. Rhedrick is a veteran.
