Christopher Oliver is an ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, serving as an Associate Minister at Simon Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, Fayetteville, NC. He serves within the Christian Education Department (CED) locally and is currently a co-chair of the Youth Commission within the A.M.E. Zion Church CED.
Dr. Oliver holds a Ph.D. in Organization Leadership (non-profit and public administration) from Eastern University (Saint Davids, PA). He also has an M.A. in Christian Practice (Youth Ministry, magna cum laude, Duke Divinity School) and an M.S. in Information Technology (Telecommunications Management, University of Maryland) and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Dr. Oliver serves in several civic/non-profit organizations, to include his role as the president of the board of directors for the Fayetteville Family Life Center, a CareNet Counseling Center affiliate of Wake Forest Baptist Health. He is also an IT/project management professional with over 20 years of experience and a military veteran.
