Diabetes Awareness Month

About 84.1 million people (more than 1 in 3) have prediabetes and 9 out of 10 do not even know it. Prediabetes is when your blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to have diabetes. It increases your risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. If you have prediabetes, losing weight by eating healthy and being more active can cut your risk of getting type 2 diabetes in half. If you are not sure if you have prediabetes, go to doihaveprediabetes.org and take the test.

As you give thanks and share the weeks to come with family and friends, we ask that you please remember the Seminary’s Firm Foundation Annual Fund Drive. Your gifts continue to impact the lives of our students and enable Hood’s vibrant learning community to thrive and develop in ways that challenge and inspire.
